Some Adjustments

After some thinking we saw the "need" for some changes to the permission system and the group hierarchy on the server.
Most of us knew the old one I believe so ill skip that and introduce the new system to you guys, its already in working order on the server. This is the first draft so its possible we will make some further changes to this as time goes by.

Group List:

Guest -> Quiz ->  Member -> Builder -> Vip  -> jr.mod -> Moderator -> Admin

Group Information:

Guest:
This is the default user group where everyone is placed after the first time logging in to our server, not much to scream after here as they only got the basic permissions making it possible to look around and chat.
Quiz:
The Group for people about to take the server quiz in order to become a member, the only difference between guests and quizzers is the ability to interact with buttons and levers.
Member:
When someone pass the server quiz and are accepted as a member on the server, this is where they go. The most noticeable change over the previous groups would be the building permissions.
Builder:
When someone have been playing on our server for some time without giving us up and leaving us for some other server, they get promoted to the builder group. I should also say that building something is a requirement, preferably not a cubic pile of either cobble or dirt.
Vip:
For those who proves to be someone sticking with our server for some time, the permanent members of our server. A change here is the disabled hunger bar.
Junior Moderator:
Members showing a genuine interest in whats best for the surroundings and other players. The best way to get here is showing signs of maturity and as always following the rules. Using the petition system to report incidents and violations is always appreciated. The junior moderators job is checking up on things, helping people and making sure things are alright.
Moderator:
Stays the same as before, the iron fists of law and order.
Admin:
Stays the same as before, in charge of the technical stuff and the decision making on the server.

Server is Updated to MC 1.2.3

Its that time of year, we caught up with Mojang's silly updates after about two weeks of waiting.
As usual the plugins we use is the main reason for the long wait. we are using many plugins we depend on, that we can't live without.

There might be some uninteresting news with the 1.2 MC update that people care about.
With the server there is some changes due to plugin developers loosing interest in their work, or whatever reason they might have, we are the ones suffering the consequences when they don't provide us with the free updates that we need for our free plugins.
Thats how things work.
However, when something dies there is usually something new paving its way, in some dark moist basement, so its not the end of the world yet. I expect that with time, we will see new plugins that replace what we lost today.

The Plugin-status changed a little, here's how the update affected us:

MinecartMania (removed)
This is the plugin we used for stations, efficient and simple transport, item organizing and that stuff.

XSigns (removed)
Redstone toggleable signs, not too commonly used on the server though.

iAuction (not updated yet)
The auction plugin we use, we will survive a few days without this, I expect it to be updated later.

QuickSign (not updated yet)
A plugin to edit signs without removing them, also support colored text and editing more than one sign simultaneously. Not too commonly used either (I believe?) but will most likely be updated later.

With most plugins still working as before I will give it some time, see what changes and try to find replacements for those not working, this might take a while.

We are currently running CraftBukkit 1.2.3-R0.2 (#2060). This is a beta build and might contain bugs. This is also unfortunately the case with many of the plugins.

Take Care!
